We have booked blocks of rooms at a special reduced rate in three local hotels. These rooms are offered on a first-come-first serve basis. Reservations must be made before May 6 to get the special rates.
Lux Hotel, University of Lethbridge campus
The University of Lethbridge turns some of its newer residences into a summer hotel each year. There are three types of units available: single executive suites, 2 room suites and 4 room suites. All suites have full kitchens. The rooms do not have air-conditioning. This is the most economical way to attend SILS2018 if you choose one of the shared suite options. It is also convenient for those who do not have their own transportation. A beautiful 15-minute walk along the coulee edge will take you to the Symposium location on campus. Rate details:
Executive suite (single): $99 + tax
Two-room suite: $123 + tax (It is only possible to book the whole suite. This is a good option for friends, colleagues or family members who want to share.)
Four-room suite: $47 per person per day + tax (Rooms are booked individually and guests are assigned to a shared suite. Groups who want to share a four-room suite can call 403-329-2244 or email cnf@uleth.ca to ensure they have their preferred roommate.)
Coast Hotel and Conference Center, Mayor Magrath Drive South
A block of 50 rooms has been booked at the Coast Hotel and Conference Center at rates between $95 to $130 plus tax. For more information about this hotel click here.
